(Las Vegas, NV; Wed, Jan 14, 2009)   Martian aliens have landed in Student Gap, Nevada  (near the famous “Area 51”) and have offered a “technology exchange” for rights to American ocean water.   That’s right, the Martians have an anti-gravity device (such as seen on “Star Wars”), and due to the aridity of their planet, they have been transporting sea water back to Mars for generations from an area off the east coast of Florida.

“It’s no longer possible to keep our presence a secret”, an 'unidentified' Martian representative from Arsia Mons, Mars stated on the condition of anonymity.  Bush Administration officials were initially skeptical of the usefulness of such an anti-gravity device, and an unnamed ‘big oil’ spokesman was totally against the technology exchange since the device, if widely used in transportation, would cut domestic oil consumption “at least in half”.

State of Nevada officials have tentatively brokered a deal for part of the water to be transported to “Texas Lake, NV” for distribution within the State.  “We see Nevada supplanting California in vegetable production,” stated Nevada Dept of Agriculture Secretary Rudy Bega.   Florida officials agreed to the deal when the Martians suggested that removing water from their coast will continue to protect Florida’s valuable beaches from a progressive rise in sea level due to global warming.   (www.LasVegasSun.com)
