UPLOADING:
do not use "email" to
send files with sizes larger than 250kb;
HOWEVER,
before you "FTP" a file to FigherPilots.Net, you must send an email to
snacko@fighterpilots.net giving the filename and explaining your entry.
You will then be sent a username/password for the Fighterpilots.Net FTP
site.
DOWNLOADING (copying files from ftp.fighterpilots.net):
If you want a file here, you can grab copies of the files
that you see with your FTP client. Just browse to the
desired directory, highlight the file, and click the " <- " arrow.
FTP your large data files to: FTP.FIGHTERPILOTS.NET
| Installation & Upload instructions: If you do not have an FTP program, "WS_FTP" is available on the web. You can search for it, or any other FTP client, using a search engine. | |
| Install the downloaded program onto your PC, and then launch "WS_FTP95FTP". | |
| Once the FTP program is installed, click the "Connect"
button on the FTP Control Panel, and then "New" on the "Session Properties" dialog box to create a "Session" profile. | |
| Complete the fields as shown below, checking
the "Anonymous" checkbox. You do not need to fill in the UserID or Password. |
| Once your "Session" is defined, click
"OK". Delete anything that shows up for USER ID or Password. If a dialog box appears, just click OK. | |
| To find a file on your PC to send - click the "ChgDir"
button on the top/center of the FTP control panel, and enter the drive letter of the file that you want to send (C: or D: etc). Browse to the directory and file and highlight the file. | |
| On the right side of the FTP Control Panel, browse to the "Upload" directory, as shown. |

| To copy your file over to www.fighterpilots.net,
merely click the " -> " arrow that is in the center of the FTP Control Panel. |
